One of the most important developments for the future kitchen will be the development of a Smart Grid. The reduction of environmental impact and increase in energy efficiency will also allow better monitoring of all kitchen appliances. This means that your appliances may be able to be fixed and updated remotely without the need for hours of waiting for a repairman or annoying periods without access to your kitchen. The Smart Grid will also allow receiving new recipes, apps, and other goodies. Designing intelligent devices that will be able to adapt and react will be a priority. In the future, perhaps, cooking a meal may require nothing more than a push of a button thanks to intelligent ovens that knows proper temperatures and cooking recommendations for different foods.
Another advantage that a U shaped kitchen design brings is the fact that this type of layout is much easier to insert into any home. Unlike most kitchen renovation ideas that ask for a bigger space in terms of floor area, this layout only requires minimal space to work with. This means that a lot less amount of raw materials will be needed during the construction phase.
Make sure you keep those lines clean. When I say this I mean that in a modern kitchen design, all the surfaces should have very straight edges and line up perfectly. A nifty tip is to ensure you overhead cupboards reach the ceiling. This is something that easily gets overlooked but can really give you that streamline effect, which is essential for a modern looking kitchen.
